I get asked a lot about how I manage my curls in general, but especially when traveling. Using a diffuser is key to maintaining my mane, but a regular diffuser is too big a bulky for my carry-on-only travel style. I found these hot socks that just slip over the hotel hair dryer and they do the trick. Super compact, easy to use and inexpensive, all things I like in a travel convenience.

Isn't my new suitcase purty? I have been using a beloved travel backpack for the last  5 years for carry-on only. While I still have times when that will be most convenient, I have noticed that now that I am often on my own and/or have a backpack with my laptop and other office items, which can be a little heavy, carrying the 2 backpacks is not that easy for me on longer layovers, read- I am getting old, lol!  Ryan and I have been using and loving our Porter 46L backpack for over 5 years now. It is our go-to for trips when we will be moving around a lot and would like to be hands-free, or for Europe where wheels and cobblestones don't always mix. This size was the largest we could go and still be carry-on, a travel preference of ours, but still have plenty of room for, well, everything!  I love that it opens from the front and lays like a suitcase to pack and unpack, making it easier to find things. It also has a padded laptop pocket if I need it and the straps can all pack away for checking the bag, and I have a strap purchased separately that allows me to carry it as a duffle as well. SO much versatility! You can even incorporate a hydration system and have a full-blown hiking backpack and attach a smaller Osprey daylight backpack and add even more space! The picture is of our maiden voyage with these, we hiked through Switzerland near the snowline in June and later went down to Venice, in the heat of July. That's a month I did,  just out of this pack, in all kinds of weather, under 20 lbs!

So far, this is the best travel pillow I have tried. Pro tip: use it backwards! Put the clasp at the back of your head to hold your head more upright. If you can attach it to the headrest, then turn it clasp in the front!

We try to stagger our accommodations to have access to laundry every 5 or 6 days, but if we need to do a few things in between washes, we love these laundry soap packets. each packet is enough for one bathroom sink load or about 3-5 items. This set comes with a sink plug, which also comes in handy in some Air BNB's and more rustic locations at times.
